Click for more pictures!Sunday, July 16th - The big day is finally here - Happy First Birthday to me! Aunt Laura drove from Syracuse with Grandma/Grandpa Carroll to help me celebrate and later one of Mom's friends stopped by with her daughter Katie to help me break in my new toys! I had cold cuts and Pooh cookies for lunch, started opening presents, took a short nap (these birthdays are quite exhausting), and saved the best [my two cakes] for last. I poked at the frosting a little bit, but decided not to eat any cake until Mom got me a fork! It was a wonderful day and I love all my gifts!

He joined us for my photo shoot and we all had lunch at the food court. I also got to visit the Disney Store and Education Works while we waited for my pictures to get developed. Lots of birthday preparations are going on at home tonight - Dad and I played in the basement while Mom baked my cake and then everyone decorated cookies! Tomorrow is going to be absolutely great!

Click for more pictures!Sunday, July 9th - After spending most of the morning doing laundry and cleaning the house, we went shopping for all my birthday party stuff! First we went to iParty and Toys R Us, but I didn't really like anything at those places - we had lunch in New London, at the Gridlock Grill, before continuing our hunt. Mom and Dad really wanted some "First Birthday" decorations, so they were really happy to find the perfect Pooh theme. We bought virtually everything [plates, cups, balloons, etc.] that you could imagine and Dad stocked up for The Amazing Duck Race 2006.

We were very lucky to not be involved in the car accident that hurt so many people since we walked by the area less than ten minutes later. Tonight we decided to check out the Lebanon Summer Dance Festival, because it was probably going to be our last chance to see fireworks. I liked watching the fireworks and dancing, but loved the beads (that Dad grabbed for me) most of all!

Click for more pictures!Sunday, July 2nd - Mom broke out her flute from high school and played some notes for me. I absolutely love anything music-related and dance along to everything from C&W to Classical. This afternoon we went to SubFest at Naval Submarine Base New London - the first thing we did was watch the lion/tigers show! Dad was disappointed that there were no giraffes this time, but enjoyed the racing pigs, which he didn't get to see last year. Mom won another t-shirt from Foxwoods and I enjoyed pushing my stroller around while people-watching.

Click for more pictures!Saturday, July 1st - We spent most of the day relaxing at home and trying to stay cool in this daytime heat. I'm getting close to my first steps, but won't let go of Mom or Dad's hands when I'm walking around. Tonight we went to the first Family Movie Night at Dodd Stadium, home of the Connecticut Defenders. It was cool to walk around the playing field and watch a movie from the outfield. They were throwing out Bear in the Big Blue House toys to the big kids in the crowd and one boy was nice enough to give me one! I had my first chocolate chip cookie and some ICEE.
